Meet The Authors
Before Erika and Niesha began laughing about the relationships they once cried about, they became acquainted with one another in the Fall of 2001 at John A. Logan College in Southern Illinois. Their first encounter turned into a budding friendship. The two of them lost contact for almost ten years after they transferred to different schools. That was until they ran into each other at a Wale concert in Chicago. Since then, they have not gone a day without talking to each other.
The last decade has consisted of Erika and Niesha supporting each other through the ups and downs of life, especially in relationships. In 2014, the dynamic duo parted ways again and left Chicago to continue their journey on opposite sides of the coast: one in New York City and the other in Los Angeles. Together, they have experienced the good, bad, and the ugly in dating. Instead of throwing in the towel, Erika and Niesha found humor in every dating story that has turned out to be a lesson—which ultimately led to the creation of All Good Just a Week Ago.

Erika is an author, business owner, and founder of the Go for Yours Foundation. Her greatest passion is encouraging people to become the best version of themselves. All Good Just a Week Ago is her way of letting people they are not on this dating journey alone. Prior to this book, she went from situationship to situationship. Erika shares a mortifying yet candid lesson in her personal story titled Rookie Ball. It wasn’t until she recognized and changed her patterns that she was able to make room for the relationship she desires.
Niesha Forbes
Niesha Forbes is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. She is the Founder of Compass Vintage, an online boutique for people who have the desire to glow with great style.
In All Good Just a Week Ago, she shares her transparent dating journey that led to meeting her husband and soulmate. In her personal stories, the Smooth Operator, the Wait, and How I met my husband, you will be inspired by Niesha’s growth in love and relationships.
